Jeff Labar: One For The Road

HAD TO GIVE IT ALL AWAY

NO STRINGS TO HOLD ME

PRAYING FOR THE DAY

STRINGS ARE THINGS

THAT ONCE CONTROLLED ME

In the 1980s,

 you could not escape

 the music of

 Cinderella;

the band had

 hits albums,

 singles,

and

MTV videos,

and a sound

all their own

combining

hard rock,

 blues,

 ballads,

and everything

 in between.

It is no surprise that

many a fan of

 the 80s rock scene

 considers Cinderella

 to be one of

 their favorite bands

 from this

 classic era

 in rock and roll history.

Of course,

lead guitarist

Jeff LaBar

is largely responsible

 for the band’s

classic sound

and those iconic riffs

you remember from

 all of the classic hits,

be them acoustic

or electric alike.

Cinderella reunited

with Poison

 some time ago,

 embarking on a

hugely successful

reunion tour.

 In addition,

LaBar has also played

 with side projects

 that include

 Naked Beggars,

Freakshow,

and

Cheap Thrill.

One for the Road

 marks LaBar’s

 first ever

solo release.

Solo albums

are always a risky affair

 in the world

in the

 rock and roll world,

particularly from artists

who have

 established themselves

so well in one group

over the years

  Cinderella

 in Jeff LaBar’s case.

 This was a record

where this fan was

 optimistic yet skeptical

 at the same time.

GIVE IT A LISTEN !!

 Jeffrey Philip LaBar

(March 18, 1963 – July 14, 2021)

was an

American guitarist

 in the

 glam metal band

 Cinderella,

 in which he replaced

 original guitarist

Michael Schermick.

LaBar was also in a

side band with

Cinderella bandmate

 Eric Brittingham

called

Naked Beggars.

 In April 2007,

LaBar and

his wife Debinique

parted ways

with Naked Beggars.

 Then Jeff recorded

 Freakshow in 2009

with

Frankie Banali

(Quiet Riot),

 and

Tony Franklin

(The Firm)

 along with

singer/songwriter

Markus Allen Christopher

aka

 Ronnie Borchert

 (Miss Crazy).

Jeff and Debinique

 also hosted an

 internet radio show

 "Late Night with the LaBar's"

on

 Realityradio.biz.

In 2012,

LaBar and Cinderella

 completed their

 30th anniversary tour

with fellow rock veterans

 Poison,

who were also celebrating

30 years in the business.

Jeff toured in support

of his solo record

with his son

Sebastian

 and

Jasmine Cain.

LaBar died on

July 14, 2021,

at the age of 58,

in Nashville, Tennessee.

 His wife Debinique Salazar

discovered him unconscious

 in their Nashville apartment
